I just wanna say that the positivity of this general is superb. I know we are still in debut euphoria, but I have faith that such positivity will remain long after the honeymoon is over simply because the boys are very clearly building their bonds with one another in a very intentional way. The kino will only get better as 4 player co-op games worm their way to them.

I’m not sure why, but since they’ve debuted I haven’t watched or consumed much Hololive entertainment. I only watched one Mumei stream, but the rest has been filtered for Stars entertainment. I wasn’t skeptical about the idea that western males would play the fujobaiting simply because western men just don’t do that unless it’s a joke. I was not deceived to believe that the end was coming for that reason. I was hoping for more of a masculine side to the boys, but instead I got a more friendly, brotherly experience where the banter is good, and the entertainment is kino. It reminds me of the times when I was a young boy playing Halo 3 co-op with friends from school on a Friday night.

Perhaps the days of watching the girls will be few and far between. Perhaps I have been waiting for this.

I said this last night, but I think it’s poignant to say in this thread as well. Anons agreed with me last night too:

An untapped market within the vtuber space is a brotuber who promotes a more refined and healthier lifestyle. I’m unsure how people from the mainland would take a vtuber who promotes healthy living, but in western audiences, it resonates more, so it would be perfect for EN. While it might be pathetic to rely on the words and advice from a person playing a character, it would nonetheless help:

Calli: Fat drunk
Ame: Mixed bag, undisciplined
Kiara: Menhera, relies on doctors and medication and doesn’t improve her mind against her illness
Gura: Moldy lifestyle, likely doesn’t take care of herself
Ina: Dirty neet
Kronii: Depressed menhera
Mumei: Menhera
IRys: Weak-willed, depressed

Partially, the reason I think the above is very attractive to many people here is because they are quite relatable, but these ways of living are absolutely not healthy in any way. There are only two EN’s that have reached balance within themselves that make them very resilient to showing their vulnerability or have very few vulnerabilities: Fauna, and Bae. When Fauna first appeared she inspired and motivated anons to go to the gym, I remember those first few posts in /hlgg/ about it. But what if we had an endearing bro-vtuber? One who was more relatable on a biological scale, a brotuber who understands the trouble of being male? What I would like to see is one of them who promotes healthy lifestyle choices such as eating healthier, exercise, expanding your mind into different disciplines, etc... it would be very welcoming in an industry that doesn’t pay notice to the idea that their fans might be in unhealthy situations or maintain unhealthy lifestyles that only lead to exhaustion and depression. It’s a tall order, but it would be interesting to see.

As silly as this sounds, and I only say it’s silly cause I was ridiculed for it in /hlgg/, I think it would be/have been endearing to get a brotuber-vtuber who promoted a more refined and healthy lifestyle.

Of all of EN, the only two that seem reasonably level-headed and not menhera is Bae and Fauna. They have proven the test of time with stress and know their limits. Which shows absolute maturity. How this relates to the brotuber aspect of what I was saying is that, I figure the reason we all like watching the above mentioned ones with personal problems is because they are relatable, whereas Bae and Fauna have an almost unreachable level of attraction, but what if we received a brotuber who was mature? If he is charismatic enough, he would receive a large following even from the people who dislike male vtubers, and with that charisma could push people to maturity, and there’s no better feeling to become mature and get yourself and your life in order, but it would be interesting to get a brotuber in this medium. It would be an interesting experience to see.

OK then, what will it take for you guys to actually sit down and watch the boys? Let’s say they respect the culture, hell, they are probably frequent posters here, and they wish to respect you. What will it take then? What would you like to see?
