The best answer I can give you is that she never signed up to be a streamer and isn't comfortable being one now. While she's very happy to sing for an audience, on stage or just a casual karaoke, you can see how uncomfortable she is with doing just a normal zatsudan since she always comes to them with a prepared bullet list of talking points, to the point that she has them on screen and moves the arrow from one topic to the next when she's talking. When she applied/was scouted to the AZKi project, she was probably expecting it to be much more akin to Kaf who's sole streams are very rare radio broadcasts with other members. Kami did do one Splatoon collab stream but that was years later and also never done again. If you look at her content for the first two years, that's more or less exactly what she did and only decided to start challenging herself to stream as part of a New Year's resolution on top of the problem of Covid lockdowns shutting down her main activity of Lives. It's not that unsurprising that a shy mega otaku like she is isn't that comfortable getting up in front of a camera and talking to herself for hours on end, and quite frankly, I don't know if it would see a massive incline in her numbers to do so. She's already very profitable through merch sales, which she mentioned that for her 7th Live way oversold expectations, concert tickets, and album sales. While her SC earnings are pretty abysmal, those were never a significant part of her business model, and judging by how many emote slots she has, she has a minimum of 1600 members despite the only real incentive being the activity dairy that she updates once or twice a month which already likely puts her in contest with someone like Mel's membership numbers. People do massively underestimate how profitable AZKi is, though, because it's not visible through the traditional routes that this thread embraces, and so people supposing that Cover covered the costs of her AMVs are unlikely to be right. Because the AZKi project's very unique situation, it's not unreasonable for a much larger portion of her earnings to get funneled back into advertising, which is what the AMVs functionally are, and literally were in at least one case with the rerelease of Real Melancholy being played in Akiba.I also doubt you'd see her getting an incline proportional to the amount of time and energy she spends on it, and while she may not like her OL job either, who knows how much of the complaining on Twitter is just her venting in a healthy manner.

She does seem to enjoy being busy, or she wouldn't guest feature on so many albums. My personal suspicion is that part of the reason she's so active on her roommate's account is because, as IRyS has talked about, she doesn't have total creative freedom as part of the Vsinger project so she can't just release the stuff under the AZKi brand like someone such as Watame or Mori can. That's how you end up with situations with Aki Rose and not!AZKi being guests on the same album, for example, but it is mostly conjecture based on very incomplete information that the audience will likely never hear about so take it with a large grain of salt.

Real Melancholy isn't my favorite song from her, but the MV does tell a beautiful story and it's her current thing she uses to market herself. Even was on the billboards in Akiba for a week.
