In the anime it was where she started out as timid and helpful to Shinku who treats her like shit and she ends up as le sad misunderstood tragic villain who is jealous of Shinku for being Rozen's favorite doll or something, whereas in the manga
it's been years since I read the manga so I might be misremembering but I'm pretty sure you find out that Suigintou hated Rozen and the alice game the entire time from the start and just wanted to rebel agains tRozen and escape it. Also she was actually a massive tsundere and liked Shinku all along, and sacrifices herself at the end willingly giving Shinku her rosa mystica so Shinku can become Alice and end the cycle
