Well, I'm sad to hear about the falling out, it's always kinda sad when a friendship has to end for whatever reason.
As for putting your name to your work, if you enjoy writing it, you just gotta own it. I know it's a plunge at first like I didn't even reveal to my own wife and IRL friends that I wrote fanfiction till I was already neck deep in my own story, It took me even longer to admit to my wife that I wrote and plan to write more smut. Which was actually well received so there's always that chance it'll be fine for you too.
If you want to keep more of your erotica private, that is fine too, and just go about it openly that you want to write adventure stories. There are apparently a lot of communities of hobbyist writers that are wearing the same shoes as you. I'll actually be attending 2 conventions next year that were organized to fill a niche for the fantasy novel fan space. I was at a little meet and greet yesterday with 2 of the big organizers and other people planning to attend, and they're just a bunch of smut obsessed women who love to talk about this stuff with each other, read fanfics, and dress up. The con itself is said to have a lot of panels and stuff for aspiring authors, so I imagine the online communities are pretty receptive towards giving structure feedback and the like.
Point is, there's no shortage of potential avenues for improvement and collaboration in this big wide world of ours. It just comes down finding the right venue for you, be it a grand venue or a hole in the wall.

For feedback I think the thoughts of the MC were kinda sporadic in the beginning and a little more attention could have been given to some of the details in the surroundings. Other than that I don't have much else to say. Thanks for the story.
