She only has one party member right now, which drastically limits the tactical options one can take. Once we get Steve and Stacy, the game stops pulling its punches. Enemy HP scales to a point where you can no longer rely on Shrek, and even random encounters can one-shot people before too long. But your inventory size triples, along with having a lot of different characters to coordinate.
I mean, yeah, it's still a 90s JRPG and none of them are all that deep, but Twoson is its strategic nadir.
