Since Bettel doesn’t seem to have much lore Ive been going hog wild with random headcanons. I like to think Phantom is some sort of immortal supernatural being that “reanimates” dead bodies/partially brings them back to life, the bodies original personality still there but not exactly the same. Like original Bettel was a nobody and after some embarrassing shitty death in an alleyway Phantom appears and he jumps at the chance to be “reborn” with a talent. So now he’s one of many puppet jesters that came before him, but he’s stupid so he doesn’t know.
Once actual lore drops I’ll be safe because this is all in my head teehee
