Now, some anon said Fauna mentioned that, in her Youtube studio, Youtube put a banner saying something to the effect of "we're cracking down on ASMR".
I can see why Youtube would take exception about ASMR and it's not even because of anything sexual
>their site is littered with even hardcore sex that falls through the cracks, let alone poor pretexts like "naked Yoga"

I assume Youtube takes exception on ASMR for the same reason they take exception on vtubers
>it M;ASSIVELY "hacked" their algorithm and they don't know how to avoid it
Youtube recommendation is a blackbox but, in it's core, it is a very simple system
>people that watched X also watched Y
>people that watched a channel A that had X also watched channel B that had X
That's how "content bubbles" or "rabbit holes" form, be it cute catgirls speaking softly in a 10000 USD mic or a fat funny man tell you they're turning frogs gay
>which they are,. btw

Youtube is being massively pressure to crackdown on this sort of "content bubble forming algorithm" because of the later but they can't, they lost control of the "recommendation algorithm" long ago because it's all machine learning now.
They most they can do to prevent a "bubble" to form is one of these two things
1) to intentionally inject content that wouldn't otherwise be recommended in your recommendations
2) to manually blacklist certain types of contents
You guys righ tnow must certainly be getting assorted videos from 2 views in your recommends, sometimes some unrelated videos from 10 years ago not at all related to anything you would search.
That's youtube trying approach #2, they very recently fiddled with their recommend algo to recommend more "unrelated" stuff, and less of the same stuff.

Now, #1 is what they might try with ASMR because it is an POWERFUL bubble.
Pic related has my current recommends, filtered by ASMR.
Here is the punchline
> I NEVER EVER WATCHED EVEN A SINGLE ASMR VIDEO OR STREAM

All I did was clicking that "rizuna ch" that somehow got in my recommends
>likely recommended because of my other hobby, asian cosplay thots
and all hell broke loose

tl;dr: ASMR IS EVIL, THE BOX IS EVIL, I HATE THE ANTICHRIST
Also: is that rizuna ch someone? Very suspicious that Youtube would recommend that specifically to me
