Shit politics aside, this woman is the exact kind of person that has the potential to enter a hobby and destroy it from the inside.
This is why gatekeeping in important. Many other hobbies that have failed to filter out people like her have had their scene and communities irreparably damaged.
You might not think it's a big deal now, but you just haver to look at other instances elsewhere to see where this could go.
