Kinda agree, that most have no idea about what they are talking about. But for anyone who's tried to do anime style, they'll kinda know.

Here's what I assume went wrong (at least in Unreal Engine, but it would be similar in Unity).
Top is kson's Shader/Material, but I was too lazy to do the faux highlights.
Middle is what most other's use (probably a bit too simplified).
Bottom is a Cell Shading Material I made, just to show where you could take it. My Experiment how well this would work in UE5.

With all that. I think this stuff is overall pretty great. It just needs a bunch of little tweaks, and maybe some more visual direction. This is all stuff that comes with experience, which you only gain by trying and doing things.
