>I see posts like pic related relatively often, now obviously it's just bait, but why this comparison specifically? The only similarities I (with my limited knowledge of kpop) can see are that both have some elements of idol culture ingrained in their communities, and that both have absolutely shit taste in music (weeb music for vtuber fans and kpop for kpop fans).
>The point i'm trying to make is that this just seems like really shitty bait, like you can do way better with your bait. Or is there actually something i'm missing that makes this bait way better than i think it is?

>Is a real woman, that's right, a female, a 3d girl, puppeteering a 2d veneer of some generic anime girl generated to get the most attention.
>The woman is real, your vtuber is not. It doesn't matter how many donations, hours, or threads you make worshipping her, obsessing over her chat and buying up all the planned, marketed merchandise: you are nothing but a target audience, something to be placated just enough for a profit margin. She doesn't care for you, if she saw you in real life shed immediately call her bodyguards to detain you. Deep down she probably jokes to her boyfriend how she's making millions off tricking a bunch of internet creeps that she even acknowledges them.
>Janny / M*d if you're reading this, you already have the pathetic stain of uselessness for doing your job for free, doing your job for free over a bunch of vtubers? That's even more pathetic than the average /trash/ user, even a vtubers real chat mods at least get her approval or praise maybe once a year
>You are all pathetic, you will never be a vtuber's oshi

>They're all great and their numbers prove it.
>>but but but numbersfag!
>Implying that /vt/ knows better than actual quantifiable subscriptions? LOL
>Even Kiara has done better than over half of the JP girls, and is lapping all of the ID girls LITERALLY COMBINED. Face it, my oshis could beat up your oshis.

>Why didn't she top the charts before joining Hololive? It's the same voice, the same people making her backing tracks and the same production value all-round, the only difference is that now she has Cover and an avatar?
>People listen to her music because it's "Calliope Mori's," they don't care whether it's good or not.

>I'm not saying Calli and Kiara's decisions are bad from their own perspectives, but I don't give two shits about their buddying up with lowest common denominator pandering trash, and Kiara's attempts at painting management as sensitive and unreasonable because they're trying to be protective of Hololive's own standards is fucked up, to say the least. Why should Cover entertain the idea of letting them collab with literal sluts from other agencies when the company stands to gain much more by instead having the girls use their big sub and stream numbers to collab with other Holos instead and let their own popularity trickle down to their co-workers who could use the support? The two of them have certainly had their share of sporadic collabs outside of the EN branch, but nowhere near enough to justify their wanting to extend their reach outside Hololive.
>You're also delusional if you think Gura and Ame will ever come close to a struggling point in their vtubing careers. For as long as neither of them commit any major yabs that irrerversibly fracture their fanbases, any reclinings they might have in new viewers/subs/members down the line will be offset by the consolidation of veteran supporters and thus, their being emboldened to throw even more money at them. They already have enough skillsets to carry themselves on after Hololive anyway, even if they may not have as much to show for it as the other ENs.
>>Hololive is just a stepping stone, it's not a long term career with great stability or anything.
>Clearly that's not what Cover wants to make of Hololive. Vtubing may be a new thing, but they have been structuring their agency and their talents to be in it for the long haul.
