Somehow both you and the mtg anon managed to choose bad examples for the quality of card art. You could have gone with any of the archfiends or zombieworld or signer dragons to show off how good the ygo card art could look but you chose generic kimono woman.
Meanwhile the mtg anon for some reason chose art that is 2 decades old from before Vigilance was even a keyword. The card art started to look way better by the time Ravnica started. A lot of MTG card art these days look like pretty high class paintings and some of the art like the Godzilla promo cards were even better.

Ygo card art is good too but in a totally different way, it's way more stylized and anime inspired where MTG is trying to look like classical epic religious paintings
