Niji hate goes back pretty far, they made a few enemies years back in the /vyt/ thread on /jp/ for dominating all discussion. IIRC the first real huge anti niji moment was Aloes graduation, due to speculation of niji antis being at play over on 2chan.

Niji EN didn't really get much hate in their first year from /here/, at most Selen was used as a falseflag image for bait threads and the first three gens each had one person who had a PL controversy on debut that blew over after a week
Pomu had a mirrored situation to kiara, Rosemi left a failing 2view corp, and Nina was very political and abrasive in her PL

It wasn't until Luxiem debuted, the screenshot leaks started, and the huge wave of CN/SEA fans came in 2022 that their current reputation came to be.
