Honestly? I would even go a step further, I literally know about similar situation first hand. CEO is great mastermind, sure, but everyone around him is stealing from his company. HE KNOWS about it. HE DOES NOTHING. You know why? Because those people working under him are literally the best people he knows in the business. He is cursed with these assholes and he knows better than just fire them. No, instead he keeps them by the balls and let them steal, as long as he keeps his yachts as well.

If we assume most management in JP steals from JP talents (oh boy, it's really that hard huh?). Then one of them gets glorified EN branch? Is he going to stop stealing? Of course not, he would seethe at others being able to steal from talents, and would want his cash back. There happens to be single billingual talent named Eliria. He strikes the deal with her. It's not a fucking company at this point, it's a mix between financial piramid and Russian Army regiment. Everyone steals and you are expected to steal as well - or be screwed and be used like a cumrag. Get a grip!

Carefully selected yeast + bacteria is completely different beast than random toxic mold spores floating in your bathroom. If you put in correct culture and take care to not get it infected with any weird shit, it's going to be safe - alcohol plus acid plus alive yeast+bacteria culture will make whole thing safe for years. Because it's already "infected".

I thought about it too. I don't know how it's in Canada, but I wager you can buy leaf tea in packages. Back in 90's, my parents would brew extra strong essence - you would just boil water, add a teaspoon or two of that stuff, boom, you have tea. Whole pitcher of thick tea. Like a fruit syrup, adding water to make a "juice" out of it. That's economical, I would say!
