Actually, I looked it up. the RP reward looks like this. So to get back to her original RP without any kills requires her to survive to round 5.

She gets RP for kills, but this is based on the "tier delta". That means, how many tiers the other person is above or below you. So if you kill a player higher rank than you, then you're doing well.

Actually that's kind of annoying. Because the higher she ranks, the less people are above her level. So she will typically only be getting less than 10 RP per kill. Meanwhile she has to survive into the top 5 on the leaderboards just to get her RP cost back. That's pretty brutal. It basically means the only way for her to rank up fast is to win some games back-to-back.

So basically, she has to survive to the top 5, and get a couple kills, every round consistently. That's pretty difficult if your team whiffs.
