Rockfriends, I know this is only diagonally related to Biboo, but I'm sure at least one of you can point me in a general direction.
I've been listening to Biboo's unarchived karaokes a lot when doing stuff like exercising or cooking etc., but I want to create a proper playlist i.e. cut the tracks into separate files and so on.
In the past I used to do this by being extremely dumb and:
1- taking the plain text track info, usually from a comment with timestamps
2- extracting info such as artist, track name, timestamp using excel formulas
3- creating a .cue file and attaching it to the full karaoke file
4- opening said .cue file in foobar, which will read and show it as separate files
5- converting each separate file to a new mp3 (I can batch process those at least)
6- final output is the playlist separated by files
7- profit
The problem with this is that it's not only silly it is also transcoding between two lossy file types (ogg or mp3 to mp3, depending on the stream source file type), which causes further quality loss.
What is a better way of doing this? Where else should I ask? Is there already a compiled mp3 track list of her karaoke songs? Should I just kill myself already?
Pic related is one of the steps to create said .cue files.
This is slightly Biboo related because I am also asking if there is already something like this done
