Stockings are really versatile. First, you can have stockings-wearing girls take them off and show their beautiful feet, or have girls wearing stockings flashing those cute toes where the material gets thinner, or have girls put their stocking feet in the protagonist's lap like, "Haha, bet you won't give me a footrub!" That's just way too cute! I really like how it can fulfill all those abstract needs. Being able to switch up the styles and colors of stockings based on your mood is a lot of fun too! It's actually so much fun! You have those sheer white stockings, or the thick dark ones, everything! It's like you're enjoying all these kinds of stockings at a buffet. I really want Gura to try some on or Towa to try some on to replace her socks. We really need stockings to become a thing in Hololive and start selling them for HoloComi. Don't. You. Think. We. Also character designs that are barefoot from the outset (looking at you anya and sana) are debuffed for me from the outset because all i can imagine is that their feet would all calloused and lack any sort of tactile sensitivity.
The real appeal are when a character who is otherwise shod by default 'exposes' their feet because half the appeal is how soft they are and how much stimulation even light physical contact would give them
of course i know this can go completely the other direction and they have nasty smelly toe fungus feet and smellfags can fuck right off
