When I yume for Selen I use the character the person behind the screen plays as, and do my best to filter out every trait I can that would point towards irl things like being Canadian or whatever. I do find Cantonese from her voice hot so I use it in my fantasies sometimes but I change the accent in my head and overall I just select exclusively for the traits of Selen I want. I do generally agree though that I need a lot of Kayfabe to yume for vtubers because the "real" person really shows, but eh, I just loosen my grip on reality a bit to compensate
