The basics are: get a combination of 4 sequences and trios plus a pair in your hand, and your tiles must have at least one yaku.

So in this hand I'm not posting to show off at all, I had three triplets: the white dragons, the green dragons and the 1 circles, a sequence, the 345 circles, and a pair, 7 circles. There are quite a lot of yakus, but the easy ones are the dragons, getting any dragon triplet is automatically a yaku. Go read a guide and play some games to learn more yakus, it might seem daunting at first but you'll learn them eventually!
