Same guy created Famous Amos cookies before the mid-1980s came along and aggressive investors swindled him multiple times and he sold the company off for a song. I've met the guy a few times -- he's a really cool dude who likes to wear watermelon hats and Hawaiian shirts. He could tell life stories for day. Before he got into the cookie business, he worked as a talent agent and signed Simon and Garfunkle during the height of their careers. Tried to start a couple other cookie businesses recently in his twilight years but they fell flat. His life took him all over the place and I can respect that.
