For your reading pleasure, here's a remastered version of a post I made the other day on a thread that asked what was the moment your oshi became your oshi where I reminisce a little bit about the start of my relationship with Marine.

>I first checked out Hololive in the summer of 2020 few days before the holocaust. During the first weeks of August I started watching Coco but at some point I found about Marine. The first clip I saw was the one where Aqua had to guess which one in the call was the real Marine which got me curious about her. I don't remember what the next clip was but I remember the sensation where everything just clicked and I realized that I’d found the one I'm into. It guess it might've been the one where she talks about the deep sea and UFOs. For some reason it was a particularly heartaching mental image for a long time whenever I thought about Marine at her old job, staring at the sky, looking for UFOs and losing track of time with garbage bags still in her hands.
>Then I started watching her streams and it became 100% irreversible that Marine was my now oshi. Some memorable moments from that August (and roughly around that time period) include the whole Shion debacle around their off-collab, Marine being comforted by Coco and Kanata in an off-collab, Marine's participation in Coco's 3D stream, my first time experiencing a Marine menhera episode and her crying, and finally the hilarious Clubhouse 51 collab with Pekora. In retrospect, what a time to discover Marine!
