a good pear is great but a lot of them do end up having a mealy apple kind of texture, in my experience. blackberries being in C tier is what upset me though, when they're in season they're actually a god tier fruit. I'll get like a pound of them and put them through a food processor, dump the mush in a bowl with some sugar and a fuckton of lemon peels to macerate overnight, and then strain/rinse it all to make blackberry lemonade. pain in the ass but so worth it.
