Hard to know how many posters there are but 4stats gives an average of 59k posts per day. That's more posts than daily comments that most big subreddits get. For comparison, r/soccer is a huge 3.5 million member subreddit and only gets 15k comments per day, and that's enough to be the 10th most active subreddit on the entire site. R/Hololive gets 2k comments per day. /vt/ is by far the most popular public spot for Vtuber discussion on the internet (maybe some discords are faster but I'm not in them so I can't grab stats), but it's also true that a huge percentage of fans are very casual so they wouldn't see this unless someone leaked it to their discord or whatever.
Also remember that the vast majority of people are lurkers and do not post so even if people aren't posting they can still browse catalog and see what's going on.
