it's not a requirement to draw aspies for free for commissions, its just a method that gets advertised alot to new artists since it gets chuubas more interested in your work (and thus paying you for it)
as for the second part its moreso i got asked to open commissions, did, and then immediately got swamped with work, so i can understand why you'd think that, im sorry orz

then why not ask clients who've worked with you in the past on advice for things like this? if you want eyes on your art, id say just debut as a vtuber and do art streams, no? i dont see why it'd be any different. stream yourself drawing chuubas and then raid into them.
your main goal seems to just get on VGen and get commissions from vtubers, so maybe go on twitter and make a post using the #VGenCode hashtag and wait until someone gives you one there? Maybe even ask people youve worked with in the past about possibly getting one from them? Im unsure what you're looking for, at this point i think just going "hey, does anyone want to commission me? this is where you can look at my art: (link)" on here would be just as effective.
