For what it's worth (not much) I was 32 when I met someone on a dating app and we bonded immediately over Ghibli films and JRPGs. I had to deal with her Kingdom Hearts tisms and she had to deal with me being autistic about FFXIV. Then 2020 happened and her family's movie theater went out of business so she had to move out of state to be with them to help them out. We tried long distance for a time but she just couldn't handle it so we ended it.

I'm not saying that to throw a pity party but rather I was very much in your shoes and then had the happiest 9 months of my life. Depression is the lie that if you've been happy in the past you will never be happy again Hope is the conviction that if you've been there before surely you can return.

I'm feeling like shit right now but I'll still choose hope.
