I do like the idea that the breakout was just a little stroll out the front door, and that Shiori would try to play it up as some grand scheme when it was just "Yeah, this guy joe is gonna let us out. Just walk with me, it'll be fine."
From a lore take on their families as a separate topic, Nerissa's is an easy one to explain, they're all just demon birds, they couldn't / didn't want to bother catching all of them, but also can't exactly fuck with the facility that kept Nerissa.
Bijou's mom showing up and given an appearance really fucked me up though. Not only is she hot, but it adds new ideas that I want to tweak into my current outline for Bijou. I don't have a decent explanation since Bijou is supposed to be some miracle of nature that has catastrophic powers on mortals if she's left unchecked.
