I think you misread the context for this part since this is all self-imposed stuff on her part. Her own friends told her she has problems communicating with them during her last trip which led to her having the moment of self-realization about how she clams up and doesn't say stuff when people are expecting to hear from her which is how we ended up with the whole AX guerilla week shitshow which she didn't even hint was going to happen in the first place and no one really expected with it being so close to how her move ended up turning out.

The "promise" in this instance was that she implied on Twitter she would be able to stream in a guerilla sense that particular week, but when that turned out to not be feasible, she didn't communicate it wasn't going to work out until after a week of radio silence when she had already returned home. She came to the logical conclusion that she needed to be more open about setting expectations properly because a lack of communication leads people to draw their own conclusions which usually never end up being the reality.
