Except it hasn't and I've been watching them longer than you, and anycolor supported the absolute fuck out of ID, they even had their own management structure similar to JP, that structure was removed when they where rolled into the main branch along with KR.
This is entirely on ID livers being assholes or lazy.
KR was in a horrible state prior to the merge and look at them now, they're doing better than ever, fucking Nari is getting 3D fot godsakes.
You give what you get, and ID gave nothing despite having all the tools needed to do so.
