I'm so glad you've found a reason to stick around! I know the temptation of leaving when things start to feel lonely or depressing, but also that leaving makes it much harder to find things to make it better so I'm glad you found a reason before that happened!

My background as a musician was actually in the DIY anarcho/folk punk scene which I left almost a decade ago due to my circle falling heavy into drugs, along with the scene not being as cool and tolerant as they had appeared. You needed to hold certain beliefs and hate all the right things, and the deeper I got, the more extreme those expectations became.
I haven't seriously made music since, so it really helps to have other musicians around to motivate me to finally put something out again even though I know my first few releases will sound like hot bedroom ass until I can relearn everything and improve my skills.

I really do! I wish we had more time, but I'm sure she'd like whatever we can pull together. Any ideas as to what we could do? A collage of art and well wishes would be super doable. A little song might be possible. Coincidentally, I actually made the Kyuusai-chan gif OP used in the thread for her Birthday last year and I'm pretty sure I did it at the last minute too (kind of obvious actually) so something like that could be doable too!
