I feel like in fightans (especially popular ones) you can just jump online and fight someone with your gameplan until you hit a wall ("I keep getting hit with this", "this character always beats me", "I can't hit them with my stuff") which is when you hit the training mode and try to come up with something else (SF6 has a lot of helpful stuff in this regard).

To me it feels like if you try to go through the entire library all at once you can't retain the information you get, I just go through each book gradually as I need them.
