The average within a single stream is calculated by taking every datapoint in the sample, calculating the area below it

and then dividing by the stream length.
That's how the average within a single stream is calculated.

To calculate the TRUE average of a channel (hence the name in that table "true average") you do the exact same thing, but "stitching up" all streams together.
You don't really need to take every sample again and redo the calculation, you can just reverse the process within a single stream

>multiply the average of a stream by their stream time
>sum the products for all streams
>divide by the sum of the stream time of every stream
That's how the average is calculated, both for a single stream and for the combined set
