/vt/ is two boards within one board already, generals/threads affiliated with generals and non-general/shitpost threads.
Because of that, most people work under the idea of "shore up the home against the storm outside" concept, and just generalize all of their chuuba-related activities into their thread of choice, be it here, their oshi's dedicated spot, or another company's similar equivalent.
That's why you see people post merch here sometimes, instead of on a dedicated thread. It doesn't help that our community's(chuubas as a whole, but especially Hololive) lines of distribution are woefully underdeveloped compared to most other industry's supply-demand distribution networks, so buyfags are bottlenecked heavily by scattered and unoptimized lines of distribution, doubly so by the general supply chain disruptions of the last two years.
