A good chunk of Latinos are white, mostly because of European conquerors going around fucking everything that seemed female, for reference, Venezuela made a census and about 40% of the population there is White (or looks white enough to be considered like that)
That's right, nearly half of Venezuela is pale.
Other countries around the region vary a lot, Mexico has around 10% whites and 10% blacks, they got displaced by mestizos/mutts/whatever and the indigenous populations is going down because they keep mixing with people
Argentina has a fuckton of pales/whites but you have to keep in mind that "classic racism" died out when Latinos got the short end of the stick just for being born here instead of in Europe (even full whites were lower class than whites born in Europe) so independence and revolutions it was and with any good conflict, a fuckton of children were born and here you have it, modern spics and whatnot cannot pinpoint with race they are so people just identify themselves with their culture and country, not by their skin or ethnicity anymore, because it's nearly impossible to tell unless you have DNA tests ready and those aren't cheap.
