It's good to see you wanting to work on yourself more, so I fully support what you're planning. It was nice hearing your speak from the heart in your anniversary stream. I could relate to some of it. Very happy for you, and I wish you well.

>1) Do you think /wvt/ helped you connect with this hobby in any way? Did you feel more motivated? More inspired? Did you learn?
Early on, yes. It was fun to see how connected everyone could become, how everyone would support and motivate each other. I couldn't ever really muster the strength to do it myself, but seeing others gain strength from it made me consider that maybe I could too, eventually. Not so much recently, at least not from the threads themselves.
>2) Do you miss anything from back when you first discovered vtubers or this board? Can you get it back?
When it felt fresh and new it was always fun finding someone new, but at this point I just don't have as much time or energy to find or watch anyone new anymore. It's still nice helping others find someone, or just seeing someone find someone I know and enjoying them.
>3) Did anyone or any event have a big impact on you or change how you saw vtubing as a whole?
Not a singular stream I guess. Seeing the effect kudoboards had on some chuubas was heartening. Just watching people get together and say nice things and make stuff for someone for a special occasion. It's hard to describe exactly, but I enjoyed those moments.
>5) Do you have any hopes for vtubing as a medium going forward? Are you just along for the ride?
I used to hope for more advancements to be made towards VR back when Kizuna Ai was new, but considering tech isn't really getting any more interesting as far as vtubing goes I have far more modest expectations. I'd like vtubers to break out of the game/art/karaoke mold and start doing things they are genuinely passionate about, no matter how niche. Vtubing has often shown itself to be a nice medium for sharing hobbies and as a cultural exchange. Other than that I'm mostly along for the ride.
>6) Are you happy, /wvt/?
Not as much recently. To be honest the threads have made me less happy than they used to. Both of them, but mostly the other one. Seeing people I like contribute to this is also mildly depressing, so I found I was happier just creating more of a distance. I spent the past year caring too much, and I really think it's time to stop. Aside from that life is just not working out. I should focus more on that.

I'm not much good at questions myself.. Do you think there's a particular standard in vtubing that isn't often being met, or some taboos that are broken more often than upheld?

Wish you all the best, alium. It was nice having you around.

I'm not good at expressing myself for these types of posts, but the feeling is mutual! It's always nice to see you around, and I'm very glad you're doing well. A happy streamer makes for happy viewers.
