> How do you retain viewers if someone accidentally clicks on your sub 3 viewer stream?
That's a hard question to answer. You can never really anticipate what someone's intention is for clicking on your stream. But all I can say is to present your best self during your streams. It won't always work, but chances are someone will find you entertaining and stick around to see what you do. Your content won't always appeal to everyone who clicks on but there's no point getting stressed over something you can't control. Do what you can instead and appeal to yourself first.

>I feel like people don't or just rarely pay attention to channels that small and it's near impossible to grow if you don't start with some sort of following.
Feels that way but it's just another thing beyond your control so no point getting too stressed about it honestly.

>Also, do you talk while literally nobody's watching?
Absolutely. Talking to yourself is a good skill to develop to lend itself exercising your voice, practising how you speak, and finding what things you can speak excessively about. This can help with content like zatsus, story times, making conversation, etc. Even if you don't plan to use the footage you get from speaking to yourself, you can always listen back to it and find what areas you can improve on.

>I always feel embarrassed about speaking to the void, but otherwise someone just clicks there, hears nothing and closes the stream immediately.
Admittedly, I do this. I'll close a stream if I don't hear the streamer talking about anything because it's boring waiting for someone to do something unprompted. But hey, talking into the void is your best bet. If not for the potential viewer than for yourself to (again) work on your public speaking skills. Doing talks unprompted can help the viewer decide what to engage with you about. Otherwise they don't know what say to you.
