That just does not check out, anon. To begin with Nijisanji obviously does not start from "literally zero" even in the west, and in the supposedly "oversaturated" market there is literally only just one big dedicated EN vtuber company on Youtube right now. What is actually showing signs of oversaturation is the INDIE vtuber scene, but how many indies with 3-10 viewers swim in the pond is largely irrelevant if you can properly secure company-level visibility behind you. Even if you're just the second biggest fish in that pond, that still starts you off with a far bigger presence and growth potential than nearly everyone else.

Besides, we just got 3 new vtubers for Nijisanji KR today. The western market could literally drop to a quarter of what it is overnight and a dedicated EN branch would still have far more potential than the fucking South Korean scene of all things, yet they're expanding KR instead of shutting it down. No matter how wildly negative your personal projections for the scene are, you cannot believably make the claim that an EN branch could not at the absolute minimum reach ID and KR numbers which are clearly sufficient to be worth maintaining those branches.
