That’s fantastic, Kindred! I’m glad they’ve resparked that joy, love and sense of discovery! I understand the feeling, I have utilized my own readings and discussions dating back from high school in regards to building up settings for game/ttrpg development and just because it’s fun utilizing those things for writing. History, geography, climate, religion, local foods and methodologies of making a living such as the majority of salt coming from salt flats in the southern realms while lots of rice farming is seen in the northern part of the continent, from the swampy/mangrove coasts to the mountains, and how all the elements tie together to shape the peoples various existences. Add in magic and mythical creatures, and an active pantheon of deities and considering how every element would affect things like tech development, logistics, value of resources, etc.

This stemmed both from intellectual curiosity as a kid thanks to games like Age of Empires and Shogun Total War, discussions with friends from before high school and a period during and after high school where I E-RP’d as a wizard and my e-gf rp’d as my witchy apprentice, and she was always trying to supplant me, so we’d always end up inflicting our fetishes on each other. It’s cool to take it all in and make something of it yourself!

Yeah! Mainly Pathfinder 1.0 on Saturdays, online with a group of mostly Americans but also a couple of Aussies. Currently playing a Tiefling Wizard girl who’s part of a collective organization of special forces/investigators who are comprised of both volunteers and criminals that function as the elite police force in the city which is Fantasy notHongKong, from a powerful family within the city who was framed along side her sister. You basically get the option as a criminal to join up and serve rather than serve a prison sentence or face death row. Really fun stuff!

Also that sounds cute, my mom used to scold me when my accent used to mimic my cousins, so mine changed quite a bit as I grew older. Accents are a very interesting thing, IMO. Emphasis on listening is a good skill to have too I think. I feel like I have to keep my listening concentration up a lot on Rosemi-sama’s streams sometimes because she can go from topic to topic a lot too, and missing out on a moment of the stream means missing out on some funny or interesting stuff

It never works in reality, humans incline towards hierarchy no matter what. There is no such as an effective leaderless society of scale. You’d need extreme AI to be an arbiter, and we are never getting Magi from Evangelion. Distribution of resources is impossible to be fair due to geography alone, barring all other factors. It’s a pipe dream that can only exist in a post-scarcity world, which isn’t going to happen in any of our lifetimes.
