They wear out from power cycling aka shutting it down and turning it on again. I only restart my PC once every 2-3 months and it's been working with the same parts for 6+ years. Power supplies are usually rated for 100,000 hours and many of them have a 10 year warranty. They aren't gonna burn out from continuous use. It's better to leave your PC on 24/7 if you can afford it.

Honestly as a massive weeb anime stores/cons don't hold much value to me as far as buying merch or blu rays. Everything is overpriced at physical stores and the selection is much worse than online. If someone genuinely likes collecting figures or gunpla or something they just use Mandarake or Amiami to buy shit online. Anyone that watches a lot of anime probably pirates it or has a crunchyroll subscription so buying blu rays isn't worth it either besides collector value. I can see someone who is really into anime not caring much for a physical store, all the store I've been to would display figures that are like $80 on Amiami and mark them up to like $300 to try to scam unsuspecting weebs. The only real appeal of those places is going with someone I'm friends with and showing them cool things I already physically own or have seen online. It's not terribly exciting unless you're a casual really, no offense.

But if it makes you feel better I'll go to the anime stores with you and browse all the overpriced love live figurines and $200 blu ray sets sis.
