It's not about the fucking lore, they can be a simple animal hybrid or even a fucking human.
What matters is how well they can match said lore, how well they can roleplay it and how much they can use it to create content.

Several JPs have greetings tailored to their lore (Lalaion, Pekora's greeting, Chocosen's greeting etc.). They also use lore references to make content e.g. Pekoland in Minecraft. Ame's lore is not even a time traveler, but she ran with it once she got the label, and it gave birth to stuff like >pic related.

Lore is an extremely useful crutch for a VTuber to generate content from, but none of the ENs have yet to make use of it that much.
