I don't think ethics should apply here. But sometimes for how far some of the vtubers go with it, it can be damaging to weak men who believe they have no hope in hell flirting with women or getting a girlfriend.
And so they latch onto these vtubers and cope about their situation.
But for someone who has had actual relationships with women and talk to women almost on a day to day basis, know the GFE is a mere ploy for money making and nothing they say or do is sincere.
But again the vast majority of men that watch them have zero situational awareness about that fact and can remain ignorant until it's too late.
All in all if makes some guys happy and keeps them from doing psychotic things to society then why not let them enjoy.
