Not only that but many of Promise are in fact chimeric representations of things mentioned in ancient texts that are both godlike and (wo)men of great renown. Hakos Baelz, or Ba'al hammon as we like to call him, a god of storms and fertility. Kronii is also a stand in for Saturn, a god known for devouring his own children due to his pride and fear of being overthrown. Then Sana, a representation and embodiment of old Babylonian goddess Innana, queen of heaven and the cosmos. Fauna is quite literally named after a Roman goddess.
