The part where I got stuck’s actually between throwing the first bait in the chapter to (you) getting found along the second bait. Since the idea’s for (you) to keep repeating it, I couldn’t figure out a way to not make it redundant so I ended up adding a bit more about (you)r train of thought while stumbling upon junks someone left behind
I guess in a way (you) have always been dependent on her, just that with reality keep sinking in, (you) feel more and more out of depth in a hopeless situation where she is the only one who seem capable enough to survive AND not want to kill (you) right away. Of course it’s also possible that everything that’s happening also draws (you) to her, whether directly or indirectly
The identity of the thing’s meant to be ambiguous but some signs I left in the writing implied it to be the girl (you) encountered in the eponymous chapter. You can probably pick up a few hints in the writing with that knowledge. It might actually be fun to see if you find all of them though it ultimately does not matter much given how this chapter ends. Part of me wonders if I make the suspense end way too quickly but I’m glad you enjoy it!
