Honestly getting into an "anime girl" mentality is incredibly difficult if you have a gigantic ego. At least, the type of characters that use self-deprecating humor like the "dumb type".
Miko is probably the best fucking example.
She has zero qualms about pretty much everyone around her basically insulting her intelligence on a regular basis, because
1. She's aware of her own airheadedness
2. She's crawled on glass to get herself a chat that actually RESPONDS to her (in comparison to her early days like pic rel)
3. She's grateful because she knows she can't survive in regular society with that level of airheadedness.
4. She's also aware that fans are all doing it affectionately and that they all love her.
It allows her to play into that trope and not get pissed off.
And 6 years into her career she's FINALLY getting her insanely long-shot dream fulfilled and it's an amazing feeling for her and everyone else that's been with her on this journey.
