Every time I think of the viewer-to-chuuba pipeline I just think back to Berserk. And the whole mess that started when Guts overheard Griffith (his commander whom he idolised) saying "I can't consider someone a friend unless they're my equal".

It doesn't help that my oshi is unironically a military tactician who looks like Griffith.
