I think one of the lesser appreciated or even acknowledged points of Lia's character is the self depreciating quality of her voice at times. I don't mean to say that her tonality is "ugly" but that her choice in slurring and pitch lend it's self to a "goofy goober" quality of speech that contrasts nicely with her overall appearance and the high spec, overly tuned academy brat persona that taps into softer side of the "gaki" persona. This manifests itself most readily in Lia's popular adoption of "ogey" but her more impomptu slurring cadence and the demure tonality that often accompanies becomes truly evocative of a kind of "moe" Bobcat Goldthwaith type of speech. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=axDN3kIQZ74 Lia's voice acting work on stream is usually overly subtle with only small flourishes but sometime she really gets into brief slurry introspective gremlin talk that really seems to center her "character" deeply within her own experience that I really enjoy. Most admirable of all, and I would be remiss not to call into question my own impartiality in this regard, is the genuine nature of Lia's laughter during her performances, imparting onto the viewer her own warmth and quality of self satisfaction with her humor that really elevates the entire experience for the audience. Very rarely Lia let's slip one of the more forced bouts of laughter, usually done so tactfully in the appropriate tongue in cheek rhythm of one of her skits but to the longtime Liacon the jarring dissonance can be like a whip crack over the entire performance. As Lia's "Golden Week" of corpo engagement last week demonstrated her ability to shift into the more inclusive "traitional" chuuba content formats it will be interesting to see how this weeks content stream balances between her new found thrust towards corpo aligned content and her more avant guarde narrative based performances.
