You can have holo oshis and still not know anything about hololive before applying. I don't know much about Mumei lore but Kaela for example got Kronii, Watame and Miko as her oshis but she didn't watch any of them before applying... oh and while we are at the topic Kaela is the best example to show you don't need to know anything before applying but she went thru a crash course while the other 3 are just lazy burger bitches.
There is also a fucking huge gap between being accepted and debut. Botan said Gen5 met 6 months before debut that's a lot of time someone can use to reasearch hololive.

She's pretty great. I feel bad because I haven't kept up with alot of her streams for almost a year because of life. Funny because she's one of the few VTubers whos live during normal hours for me, and she streams for hours on end and I watch alot of 3+ hour long content on Youtube.
