The rest of that stuff you said is 100% true and correct, except for the part where you implied that this is a last ditch effort to save the EN branch. The EN branch has been doomed to eventual closure since the black screen video, and everyone in the vtuber community knows it, especially including the Niji EN talents. The AR Live is less "Hail Mary attempt on the last play of the Super Bowl" and more "bio-robots tossing chunks of graphite off the roof and into the gaping maw of what was once Reactor 4".
They're not trying to save the EN branch, they're trying to save the rest of Nijisanji. The closure of the branch will be their "building the Sarcophagus" moment.
