I ended up getting a $8/month subscription on Paperspace, because it gives me unlimited access to good hardware (18s to generate the default Asuka from the speedrun) and I can use it from any PC.

It was as simple as following this guide https://rentry.org/865dy and reading the comments in the notebook. That notebook is very well made. I would have given the author his referral bonus, but the absolute genius put his code at the end of the tutorial, at which point I had already bought the plan.

I experimented with a few models and I have to admit HLL2 blows everything else out of the water. It's amazing.

Next step for me is trying Dreambooth, so that I can hopefully generate consistent characters. (Can anon tell who I was aiming for in picrel?)
