Honestly having trouble seeing how option A would make sense, especially if I'm going to keep the dynamic of having the island and its people isolated until semi-recently. It might be a tad early to give my take idk but I'd say that it'd be better to either reverse the position of the two islands, or just go with B (on the condition that I'm allowed to go deep since there'd be less surface to work with)
