no disrespect to that brrat, but i learned my lesson on taking shortcuts and all i can say is that if you are seriously triying to sink your teeth into video editing/uploading, then pirate the adobe suit
is it harder to grasp? yes
will you need to watch some in-depth tutorials? yes
does it sometimes shit iself? also yes
but its easily, EASILY the best set of programs out there because Adobe are intelligent turbojews so they copyright very great features other softwares dream on having (please refer to picrel)
that and the ability to cross-reference your work or simply change things on the fly dramatically speed up your workflow, not to mention that if you learn the hard thing first, everything else is a cakewalk.
I fell for the sony vegas meme and i can say, while useful, the program never scratches the surface of what Adobe can do

TLDR: Adobe is harder to get into, but it pays off inmensely and you end up reducing the work time in several hours the better you get at it
