Part five let’s go. Hope you get the reference.

The girls grouped up around the console, setting up the machine.
“Rissa, will you?”
“Anything for you, Shiorin.” Nerissa cleared her throat, gave me a flirty wink and picked up the transceiver.
“All units be advised, return to section 1 Charlie , I repeat, return to section 1 Charlie immediately .”
If I weren’t there watching her speaking, I wouldn't doubt it was the lieutenant giving orders. Shiori was beside her giving instructions, while checking her ‘diary’ and the monitor. With these false orders the guards were running around the compound like headless chickens in the screens. Some were trapped with large groups of patients while others got stuck in burning rooms.
“….requesting backup, over.” Nerissa finished her line and gave a relieved sigh. She turned to Shiori with her needy voice. “Did I do well, Shiori?”
“Of course Rissa, you’re amazing. That’s why you’re my favorite.” Nerrisa lowered her head for Shiori to give her head pats, and leaked some soft squeaks when Shiori praised her more.

“Requesting backup at Vault Mike…the whole squadron is gone…HELP US….PLEA-“ The radio suddenly burst out and cut off immediately. Something seemed to catch Shiori’s attention as she sat back in the chair. She scanned through the screens while tapping on her diary with Nerrisa watching her nervously.
“Nerrisa, go get Biboo down stairs. I’ll meet you all at the main hall.” She instructed.
“B-but Shiorin. You might get hurt-“
“Don’t worry Rissa, my Page will keep me safe.” Shiori gave me a trusting wink, looking at my surprised face.
“You won’t let your princess down, right?”

We got separated as smoke started spreading through the building, thick clouds of dark fog blocking my view. The temperature was heating up as I got closer to wherever I was aiming. After a few corners I bumped into a dim hallway without smoke. When I was busy catching some fresh air, I noticed emergency lights illuminating the blood on the ground. Instead of alarms, an out of tune children melody was playing out loud by the speakers. Body parts scattered around are barely visible to identify whom they belong to, along with the weapons. At the end of the aisle were two silhouettes holding hands. In the flickering lights, I recognized what they are. A pair of twin girls, each wearing a pink and blue outfit with their face covered with darkness.

“Hello wuffian.” Two voices spoke straight into my mind in sync.

“Come and play with us.” A soft and faint voice.

“Uh-uh. Play with us.” A lower and cold voice.

With every flicker the blood and corpses changed their position, only the twins standing still. I tried to close my eyes but they’re still in my sight, as if they’re branded in my pupils. The melody was getting louder, as the lights flashing more intensely.

“Let’s have some fun. Bau bau.” The disembodied voices were syncing once again.

“Bau bau.”

“Bau bau.”

“Bau bau.”

I did everything I could to stop the voices, crawling on the floor. I blocked my ears with my hands. I shutted my eyes so hard it hurts. I opened my mouth but no sound was coming out. I begged for it to stop, but no one could hear me scream.

“It’s just like pictures in a book, professor. It isn’t real.”

A warm palm touch on my shoulder, gently holding me up. I opened my eyes weakly, a familiar face came into view. Shiori’s sharp golden eyes saw through my startled eyes, and calmed me down with her smile. The voices and horrors are gone, only leaving the body parts on the floor.

“What did you see, professor?” She asked curiously when I start breathing normally.

“Uh….A twin…I guess….” I tried to clear my stunned mind, roaming through the pieces of my memory.

“Oh, a twin you say.” Shiori’s face came so close that she was the only thing I could see. Her warm hands caress my cheeks slowly, with a mixed smell of lavender and disinfectant fluid. I was trapped in her eyes until she finally backed off, with a black slime ball falling off her shoulder. Shiori smirked looking at me, leaving a light kiss on my forehead.

“Good job, professor. We must be close to them.”

Imma post part4 of my work
Quite struggled with this chapter and not really satisfied the final work
So please be advised

We passed a few hallways scattered with bodies, mostly guards with a few wearing jumpsuits. Shiori asked Biboo to keep an eye on this floor as we moved upstairs. She led me to a wide office, the door was half opened with several people with white coats lying around. The sign reads : ‘Control Center’, with the entrance keypad heavily damaged. She stopped and looked up at me, shrugged with her fixed arms.
“Now professor, would you be kind enough to give me a helping hand and pick my stuff up?”

“What stuff?“

“You will know when you find it.”
She ignored my further questions and knocked on the door with her elbow, popping her head in and asked.
“Where are you Nerissa?”
A desk in the distance wobbled a bit and a tall woman stood up.
“ Shiori~n!” The woman with long, black hair shouted, holding a man in her arms. She ran towards us agilely carrying a full grown man, dodging every obstacle in her way. Shiori bumped me to the floor as she got jumped by Nerrisa.
“ I missed you Shiorin.”
Nerissa snuggled her so affectionately when Shiori looked at me helplessly.
“…I missed you too Rissa. Can you let me go now?” Shiori said ,much colder than Nerissa’s tone.
“B-But, I love you Shiorin.”She said with a sweet and needy voice .If she's not holding a man with a knife stuck in his stomach ,her voice would be enchanting.
“ Cool, I love me too. Now get up.” Shiori struggled out of her embrace.
“ Wow~ That’s cold Shiorin. I will kill for you.”

“I know. Last time you KAPUT the entire night shift guards to see me.”

“I thought you liked it. Maybe your companion will be more friendly to me.” Nerissa replied, yet sounded nothing ‘friendly’. Her raven-like crimson eyes made me feel like an invulnerable prey, only a matter of time to be eaten alive.
“I’m sorry Rissa, but he’s mine. You already got one in your arms.” Shiori blocked Nerrisa’s sight, saying sarcastically. I took the opportunity to get into my search quest, escaping their line of sight.
The office was smashed badly with books littered all over the place. I have to go through every one, afraid of missing any clue.
As I scanned the floor, I noticed an old man curled in the corner. His hand was holding something tight, even the wound that made him died in a puddle of blood couldn’t make him let go of it.
I pulled open his pulseless arm, revealing the thing he would give his life protecting it.

It was a book.

The purple hard cover is covered with a strange pattern, with no visible word or letter on it. The edges are rough with a few damage, someone must be using it quite often. Although it looked like an ordinary book at first glance, as I grabbed it an unnatural chill shivered on my spine. His palm holding the book was covered with blood print, but not a single stain could be seen on the cover.
A pale white hand grabbed my wrist firmly when I attempted to open the book. Its nails sting deeply in my skin, with a grip so great that I can’t free myself from the agony. The supposed dead doctor sat up and stared directly at me with its two dilated pupils, opened its bloodless lips to roar.

“DO NOT TRUST HER LIES!”

I screamed out loud uncontrollably and fell back to the ground. The body was in its original position, as dead as I found it in the first place.
“Wha-What?” I managed to catch my breath and checked my grabbed wrist. As I slowly came back to my reasoning, looking at my unharmed wrist, I can’t help thinking. What does he mean? Was that even real, or just this hell hole making me insane. Am I really seeing things, am I -
“ You know seeing doesn’t always mean believing right?” Shiori stood behind me and replied to my own thoughts.
“Wha- “ Out of shock, I can’t process what just happened, looking blankly at Shiori. She noticed the book in my hand and took it.
“You're amazing, professor, you found my diary.” She said in delight.
“Hope you didn’t take a peek, that would be rude.”
She observed my facial expressions with her squinted eyes, then left with a giggle. As I caught up with her, I could almost see a black wobbly slime on Shiori’s shoulder.

Schizo advent part 3
After a clear click, the door opened with ease from the outside. A tiny figure rushed in towards Shiori and hugged her tightly. It was a little girl no taller than 4 '7 ,with grayish hair almost as long as her height.
“SHIORI!!” The little girl yelled happily, letting go of Shiori.
“Hi biboo, are you okay?” Shiori asked worriedly, squatting down to meet her height.
“I’m fine, Shiori.”Biboo nodded, opening her arms showing her blood-covered outfit. She smiled with her mouth open wide, saying out loud. “ I’m the strongest of us all, after all. E-he.”
“Sure you are.” Shiori said as she checked Biboo’s body. Judging by the red splash I can see from my position, that blood was from the fools trying to stop her. There’s not a single stain of red on the back of her jumpsuit. “ That's why I can always count on my favorite.”
“E-he, I love you too Shiori.” Biboo blushed a little from the compliment, and widened her mouth more. She turned and pointed at me, staring curiously. “ Who’s this?”
“Oh he?” She thought for a moment. “Do you remember the stories of Novelknights and Inkwell castle I told you?”
“Yeah!” She answered with excitement. “Is he…”
“He’s a Page, Biboo” Shiori winked at me, gave me a mischievous smile and signaled me to play along. “But still brave enough to save his princess .”
“I…uh…” I tried to refute, but the dire situation made me yield. “…am a humble Page, here to save you.”
“Well, shall we go then, my Page.” Shiori said with leisure as we were going to a ball, walking into the corridor with Biboo holding her jacket , who was still looking at me with a fascinated smile.

Contrast to the peaceful room, the corridor was a hellscape. Those guards once stood the ground now laid lifeless with bullet shells surrounding them. The lieutenant sat in the corner with a hand holding his throat, his tactical vest and uniform was soaked with blood. His scared face stayed the same as his last moment, a mixture of shock and disbelief. The girls walked past the bodies unbothered, while I tried not to imagine what caused these battle hardened men to perish in terror. I couldn't help but keep looking back at the scarlet red glass shard lying at the entrance.
“ Professor ? Are you alright ?” Shiori’s voice spooked me out of my imagination, almost making me slip to the wet ground.
“I’m alright, I’m alright.” I took a deep breath, the smell of blood filled my lungs. I looked at Bib in oo who was way ahead of us, holding my urge to throw up. I asked hesitantly,
“Did you...What did you do to them, Biboo?”
“Oh!” She replied without hesitation, turning her pure face to us. “We had a lot of fun together. Those Pebbles are gooood, I nearly got hit several times. “
“This one made a funny scream, and this one tried to run away.” Biboo walked past several bodies, giving each one a review.
“Pebbles are tired so they’re sleeping now.” She said with a smaller voice, patting a dead guard’s head with care.
“They have to try harder next time, E-he.”
She gave me her default mouth opening smile, with a window wiping laughter out of pride. Her goofy laughter sent chills to me as it echoed through the whole corridor, making me gagged a little as I rested against the wall.
“Are you satisfied, professor?” Shiori whispered pitfully, waiting for me to follow up. “There are more surprises ahead, you better catch up.”

“Her room is at the end of the hallway.” Lieutenant Alex accompanied me through the inspection, with several armed guards watching me.
“We have to triple the guards for this meetup, and barely have any spare man for other duties.” Alex complained tiredly yet still grabbed his rifle tightly in his hand. “Out of all the psychopaths we got here, you just have to see her.”
“I’m sorry lieutenant, it won’t take too long.” Standing in front of the door, I looked at him and tried to give a professional look.
“You better be.” He signed lightly, entering the password. “I’m sick of this shit.”
He escorted me in the room, avoiding any eye contact before leaving. The thick entrance door closed behind me as I’m looking around. It looked nothing like a cell or ward, rather a bedroom of a twelve-year-old girl. She sat on a comfy couch with a pinkish tea table in front of her, as if she was waiting for a doll to arrive at her tea party. The only thing representing the asylum is a steel chair for me to sit on, the cold, metallic feel is the only thing reminding me where I am.
“Shiori Novella here, at your service.” She said delightfully. “Are you here for my tea party, professor ?”
Her glowing yellow eyes stared at me, swinging her black and white hair while tilting her head. A warm smile on her face welcoming me to her tea party. If it was not for her straight jacket, I would join without a doubt.
“ Morning, Shiori Novella. I’m just here to ask some questions.”
“Oh, okay.” She said sadly. “All I want is some friends to come to my tea party.”
“ You had many friends before, didn't you?”
“ They weren’t my friends….” Shiori sank back into the coach, trying to hide from the question.
“They just wanted something from me, they always do.”
“So you killed them?” I asked calmly, took out a news cutout and put it on the table. “32 men found dead when the police arrived, leaving you the only suspect.”
“I didn’t…I didn’t….”She started sobbing, bowing her head down. “ I just wanted them to go away…”
“ They died, Shiori.” The tears were like knives cutting my heart, but I managed to suppress my guilt. “ You killed them.”
“No…no…” She mumbled between her knees, shivering. “ It’s not me…please…”
“ You didn’t shoot them, or any physical harm of course.” I added. “ They died defending you.”
She stopped crying.
“ Although who or what killed them isn't identified yet, but they were clearly fighting an intruder.”
I constructed my sentence carefully, observing her reaction.
“ You were already in the building long before someone broke in, so you aren’t the direct cause of their death.”
She sat still without any response, almost making me question my own theory. Then a sudden giggle scared me out of my own thoughts. Shiori lifted her head with a satisfied look, not a single tear to be seen.
“You are so smart, professor. I’m happy that you did your research.”
She leaned back on the cushion, staring at the ceiling.
“ It’s all because of that girl, and her fudging dog.” She signed softly, gazing at me.
“I guess those Novelknights did their best, it’ll be hard to get new ones now.” She said as if those dead mercenaries and cartels are simply her broken toys. Her childish tone was gone, instead with an academic voice. Her behavior acted like a completely different person from minutes ago.
“So, tell me professor, what do you want to know, as a reward?”

This is a draft for a longer series I’m working on, basically you are breaking out the asylum with advent.

Two guards stood in front of the door, taking their aim at us. A few bodies of jailers and patients lying on the ground, smell of gunpowder and blood filled the hallway.
“HOLD IT RIGHT THERE, PUT YOUR HANDS IN THE AIR!” One yelled, slowly approaching us. I put my hands up immediately and turned to see Shiori.
“Please!”Shiori cried, struggled to surrender with her straight jacket on. “Please don’t hurt us…”
“HEY STOP IT OR I WIL SHO-“
A loud bang echoed around the room as I dudged to the floor. To my surprise, it’s the guard who collapsed, with a hole on his head. The latter guard took off his helmet, putting his gun back to his holster. He walked to us hastily, without looking at the colleague he just ruthlessly killed and kneeled in front of Shiori.
“I’m here for you my princess.” He said so passionately, I thought it’s the ringing in my ears led to my mishearing.
“Oh…you’re always so nice to me Jake.” She bent and kissed his forehead lightly, while giving me a devilish glance.
“Is he your….”Jake looked at me fiercely, seemed like he tried his best to contain his enviousness.
“Oh, he’s just a tool for my escape.” Shiori patted his head, grabbing his attention back on her. “As for you, my dearest Novelknight, I have a important mission for you.”
“Everything for you, your highness.” He stood up happily, started loading his rifle.
“I need you to hold this fortress for me, will you.” Shiori shed a tear, holding his cheek in her palms tightly. “Try not to die for me, alright?”
“With pleasure.” Jake took a table as cover, holding any one dared to come across Shiori. She gave me a smug smile as we passed through, no more tear to be found her golden eyes.
